Is my money really protected in escrow?

Yes — contributions sit in regulated escrow until payout conditions are met.

What escrow means for your circle

Escrow is a holding arrangement: your money is collected and kept separate from operating accounts until the circle’s rules say it can be paid out. No member — including the organizer — can spend it in the meantime.

Regulated banking partners

Ilè Àjo works with regulated payment and banking partners (such as Anchor and Flutterwave) to link accounts, verify identity, and process debits. Escrow balances are held with licensed, insured financial institutions.

When payouts happen

A payout is released only when the round’s pool is complete and the recipient’s identity and bank account are verified. Funds go directly to the verified account in that member’s name.
