What if the organizer runs away with the money?
They cannot. Contributions never enter an organizer’s personal account.
Why this fear exists
Stories of a circle coordinator collecting cash and vanishing are common in communities worldwide. That risk exists because one person physically holds the money with no independent oversight.
How Ilè Àjo removes that risk
When you join a circle, your contributions are debited into escrow — a regulated holding account — not to the organizer. The organizer has no withdrawal access. Payouts are triggered by platform rules when the pool for a round is complete.
What if the organizer leaves the app
The circle’s funds remain in escrow. Ilè Àjo support can reassign admin duties or pause the circle according to your group’s rules. Money does not leave escrow because an individual stops using the app.
